Governors of Kalyobiya and Damietta and President of Benha University Opened the First Employment and Professional Development Forum at the University

Providing 2,500 Opportunities and Training for Students and Graduates
Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Kalyobiya, Prof. Ayman Al-Shahabi, Governor of Damietta, and Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inaugurated the activities of the "First Employment and Professional Development Forum," under the slogan "Launching Towards the Future." This event was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in cooperation with the University Career Development Center.
More than 85 companies from various sectors participated in the forum, providing 1,500 job opportunities for graduates and 1,000 training opportunities for students. The event was attended by :
• Prof. Suhair Shaarawy, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University,
• Prof. El Sayed Fouda, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development,
• Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, along with
• Vice Presidents of Benha National University,
• industry leaders,
• civil society organizations,
• deans of faculties,
• the university's Secretary-General,
• assistant secretaries, and
• University students.
In his speech, Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Kalyobiya, stated that the Egyptian labor market is witnessing rapid changes that require all of us to take a serious stand to monitor these transformations, foresee the future of jobs, and prepare human resources capable of adapting to technological, economic, and social changes to keep pace with this rapid and ongoing development. He added that Egypt possesses a strong and distinguished human resource represented by university graduates and educational institutions. Employment forums offer companies and economic institutions the opportunity to select the best young talents suited to their qualifications and capabilities for work and innovation.
The governor emphasized Kalyobiya's commitment to providing all forms of support to empower youth through collaboration with Benha University and the private sector, in addition to encouraging an investment climate and creating new and real job opportunities.
Prof. Ayman Al-Shahabi, Governor of Damietta, confirmed that the first employment and professional development forum comes as part of the initiative of His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, "A New Beginning for Developing the Human," pointing out that the forum, carrying the slogan "Launching Towards the Future," reflects the university's interest in activating the system of linking students and graduates with the labor market, and its pioneering role in implementing this, believing that its role is not limited to education and scientific research but also includes preparing youth to keep pace with the labor market, equipping them with skills to face challenges, and providing job opportunities, in addition to its commitment to its graduates who represent the fruits of its efforts over the years to educate them according to scientific foundations of the highest level.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, confirmed that the First Employment and Professional Development Forum organized by the university serves as a window opening doors for our students and graduates to expand their professional horizons, assist them in building their career paths, and achieving their ambitions. It represents an important step towards achieving our shared goals of enhancing communication between educational institutions and the labor market.
Prof. El-Gizawy noted that the forum is a golden opportunity for participants to enhance their professional skills through the training programs provided by the participating institutions, which have been carefully designed to meet the evolving needs of the labor market. He added that the forum provides an ideal environment for connecting graduates with employers, contributing to opening employment doors for ambitious youth and enabling them to take practical steps towards building their promising professional future.
The president of the university stated that the forum aims to enhance communication between students, graduates, and employers, provide training and job opportunities for graduates and students, and offer career guidance sessions to help students identify their career paths, as well as enhance practical skills through specialized workshops. He emphasized that it contributes to strengthening the ties between the university and the community, reinforcing the concept of sustainable development by empowering youth and developing their capabilities.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy thanked all participating companies and institutions for enriching the forum's activities and expressed gratitude to all those involved in organizing this forum, who made sincere efforts to achieve such a high level of preparation and organization.
Prof. El Sayed Fouda, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, pointed out the university's commitment to collaborating and coordinating with various industrial companies to enable students and graduates to explore available job and training opportunities within the framework of the university's community role in supporting its graduates seeking suitable job opportunities.
Prof. Jehan Abdel-Hadi praised the organization of the forum to meet labor market requirements by providing training and job opportunities and offering career guidance sessions to assist them in obtaining suitable employment and training opportunities.
Dr. Sahar Abdel-Rahman, Director of the Career Development Center at the university, stated that the number of students registered in the forum reached 3,000 students, noting that the number of students registered in workshops and seminars reached 711 students.
On another note, the Governors of Kalyobiya and Damietta, along with the President of Benha University and their companions, inspected the exhibition booths, which included a large number of companies in various fields.
the forum included a discussion session on "Labor Market Trends in Egypt: Opportunities and Challenges," along with several workshops and professional development seminars, with participation from more than 85 companies representing various sectors, including banks, food industry companies, digital solutions, insurance, and investment in education.
