To Evaluate the Integrated Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Management System: Benha University Hosts a Visit by the Team from AGA, the ISO Certification Body

Prof.Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawy, President of Benha University, received the evaluation team for the quality management system (ISO 9001:2015), occupational health and safety management system (ISO 45001:2018), in addition to the environmental management system (ISO 14001:2015), from AGA, the ISO certification body, headed by Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Osman.The meeting was attended by Prof.Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof.Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Abdel Qader Abdel Karim, General Coordinator of Administrative Quality at the University; Ms. Sherin Shawky, Secretary-General of the University; Mr. Refat Nan, Assistant Secretary of the University for Administrative Affairs; Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Ibrahim Gouda, Supervisor of the Media Office; and members of the Quality Office at the University.
The external audit delegation included Dr. Amr Osman, Dr. Manal Darwish, Dr. Mustafa Ahmed,andDr. Ahmed Kamal.Prof.Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawy affirmed that the visit is to evaluate the performance of the university's quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental management systems, and to assess the extent to which the university's administrations apply the documented procedures within the integrated quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental management system. This system was designed for all university administrations, in addition to the Faculty Development Center, and to ensure the achievement of its objectives. He emphasized that the university's administrations have been well-prepared for this external audit visit, reflecting the university's keenness to maintain its integrated quality and occupational health and safety certificates and to obtain environmental management certification for the first time.
Al-Gizawy stated that Benha University is committed to providing adequate resources (human and financial) to ensure the achievement of administrative quality, while providing a safe work environment for employees and beneficiaries of the University's services, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws pertaining to the three standards.
For his part, Dr. Abdel Qader Abdel Karim added that the auditing team began its activities with an inspection tour of the university administration offices, followed by starting the audit processes for the quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental management systems according to the previously set schedule. He noted that the evaluation visit will conclude with a closing meeting at the end of the visit, during which the results will be presented, along with best wishes for Benha University to obtain the quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental management certification.
