During his interview; Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University said that the University leads an initiative to support and develop the young researchers' capacities by granting them EGP100.000 for forming a research group to serve the University and the community as well as eliminating the obstacles of young researches facing their researches.

Prof. Dr. Soliman Mustafa, the Vice-president of Benha University for Education and Students' Affairs has announced for opening a new division of biotechnology in the faculty of science to support the labor market requirements.
He pointed out that new programs have been opened at the faculty of engineering in Shubra. Such programs are Energy Engineering and Sustainable Energy to face the lack of energy.

The Scientific Society in the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University - Committee on Reproductive Health and AIDS has launched awareness campaign about Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) at the Health Unit in the village of Ramla. It is worth mentioning that the Campaign has received a great response and reaction of the people of the village.

Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El Din, the President of Benha University has visited the Faculty of Agriculture in Moshthor with Dr. Mahmoud Iraqi, the Dean of the Faculty and the Faculty Vice-deans to monitor the procedures of receiving the quality and accreditation team.
During the visiting, he confirmed the importance of quality and its effects on the Faculty, Faculty staff, and students. Ha added that the Faculty is one of the oldest agricultural institutions in Egypt and Africa.
