Under the auspices of Dr. Nasser Al-Gizawi, President of Benha University, Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Nermin Adly, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the “Safe Community Free from Addiction” initiative was launched at the Faculties of Nursing, Education, and Applied Arts to raise students' awareness against addiction.

Under the patronage of Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof.Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof.Dr. Mohamed Al-Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Prof.Dr. Nermin Adli, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Medicine organized an awareness initiative against addiction titled "Safe Community Without Addiction" for students of the Faculties of Arts and Commerce.The initiative's activities were led by Prof.Dr. Sherine El-Khouly, Head of the Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology Department at the university's Faculty of Medicine, and were coordinated with Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant University Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The faculty of medicine organizes, in cooperation with the directorate of youth and sport in Qulubia and the Nile organization for Media services, an awareness forum about addiction and drugs.
