this study investigated the effect of aspeed-reading program on increasing 1 the students speed of reading and 2 improving their ability to comprehend written english. the study was limited to reading for central ideas and supporting details.the researcher hypothesized that concentrated practice in comprehension through the right sped reading techniques would develop both the reading speed and comprehension abilities of the secondary stage students.in order to test the validity of this research hypothesis, the researcher designed aprogram of ten week instruction.it consisted of ten lessons, each was a45 minute period. |
