This study included a review of the embryology of the mid-gut and hind-gut, as an introduction to understand thestructural congenital malformations of the lower alimentarytract (small intestine and colon).The general rules in techniques of paediatric radiologyof the gastro intestinal tract were described.The study included also the radiological investigationsutilized for diagnosis of these lesions. Plain filIns,bariumcontrast studies, isotope scanning, Angiography,c-T scanningand ultrasound were sharing in the detection of thesecongenital lesions.The radiological features of the congenital lesions ofthe lower alimentary tract were described. ..Diagrams and figures representing different types ofcongenital lesions of the small bowel and colon wereincluded.
