The knee joint is a region which so frequently suffers from nearly every kind of orthopaedic disorders and autoimmune, degenerative and metabolic affections are among the mostcommon affections of this joint. These affections include numerous diseases which closely resemble each other and precise diagnosis is, at times extremely difficult. Their treatment measures are also numerous and need careful planning.Hence the need for a tool to make the job of the physician more easier. The ability of computer to store large amount of data and to perform complex logical operations suggest its potential value here.A data base for computer program including clinical picture, radiological and laboratory investigations, assessment and management have been described. Then a system of selective sequential questioning was presented by which meaningful test complex subsets are constructed. The procedure results in a flow sheets for evaluation, indicated investigations, diagnosis and treatment whether conservative or surgical.
