This study was conducted on 32 subjects divided into the followingstroke (8 females and 14 males ) .[ I i Patients group : it consists of 22 patients vvith cerebrovascularfemales and 5 males ) .I II I Reference group : it consists of 10 apparently healthy subjects ( 5subject .Thorough history and clinical examination was performed to everyThe following investigations were performed : Anticardiolipin antibodies ( IgM and IgG ) detected by ELISA . The following were drawn from our vvork :* This present work show that 13.7% of patients with cerebrovascular strokes had elevated ACA Ig,M , 45.5% of patients with anticardiolipin antibodies .strokes had elevated ACA IgG , 9.1% show elevated both IgM and IgG* This show statistical significant increase in the level of ACAIgM, IgG in patients in coznparison with reference group . that of ACA IgM .* The increase of ACA IgG was more statistically significant than* The stroke process started some times before the presentation ofthe disease , and the stroke is an outcome of accumulated different stimuli, ACA Ab may be involved in them .regarding the levels of ACA IgG .* There is no statistical. difference between males and female |
