Prof. Nasser Al -Gizawy, President of Benha University has announced that University students won five different medals that included two silver and three bronze in the Weightlifting Championship at the Martyr Al-Rifai University Tournament that was organized by the University Sports Federation.

Farah Ihab Refaat Mohamed Joudeh, a second-year student at the Faculty of Law, Benha University, won the second place and a silver medal in the +78 kg category at the Open Republic Championship for under 20 years, held in Alexandria at the Armed Forces Olympic Center.

Under the auspices of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Jehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, the university participated in the Open Republic Judo Championship for under 20 years held in Alexandria.

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that university students won 4 medals at the level of Egyptian universities and higher institutes in the 52nd Martyr Rifai Championship, held at Ain Shams University.

Benha University announced that its students have won a total of 9 medals in various categories, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze in the Sector League Championship organized by the Egyptian University Sports Federation, held at Suez Canal University with the participation of 510 students from 6 universities.

Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University and Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs received the studentMahmoud Gamal Mohamed, the student at the 3rd year at Faculty of Physical Education after winning the first place the gold medal in the International Elite Championship of Muaythai in Iraq. Prof.Dr. Nasser El Gizawy congratulated the player for that great achievement which raised name of Egypt and Benha University globally and mentioned that Benha University and its staff are proud of these models from the students of Benha University.

Benha University has got 11 medals at the Egyptian Universities Athletics Championship which was organized at The Olympic Center in Maadi. Benha University students' have participated at that competition under auspices of Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the acting president of Benha University, Prof.Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs and Dr. Khalid Esawy, the General Coordinator for Students' Affairs.

Benha university council, under the presidency of prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady, the university president, honors the handicapped students who have been excelled in sports and they obtained the first place in the Egyptian universities championship for the handicapped.
