Abstract:

A total of 100 slaughtered sheep at Kalyobia abattoirs were examined bacteriologically, chemically and for parasitic infestation. The bacteriological evaluation revealed that the total bacterial count / cm2 of sheep carcasses ranged from 1.7x 10 4 to 6 .2x 107 cfu with a mean value 6.lxl05 ± 0.7xl 05 cfu /cm2 .
