Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president visits the faculty of engineering in the University of Mikazaki during his visit to Japan. EL-Kady holds several meetings with the faculty's dean, the departments' heads as he discusses the ways of cooperation between the university and the Mikazaki University in the field of renewable energy in addition to visiting the faculty's lab and solar- energy -generating station. It has been agreed to sign a protocol between Benha University and Kyutech institute in Japan which is considered one of the best three institutes in space field in order to set up a new curriculum at the faculty of engineering and the students study space-related sciences for four years and they spend the fifth grade in the Japanese institute.

Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president asserts that it has been agreed upon, at the deans' council in the presence of prof.Dr. Hesham Abu EL-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies, to provide all faculties with their needs before the 1st term exams. Benha university which obtains the second place in the contest of programming in the student creative forum at the AUC in UAE from 12-11-2017 to 15-11-2017.the research is entitled “designing and programming the 3D printers” of the student/Ahmed Reda in the faculty of engineering and it is conducted under the supervision of prof.Dr. Aref Ahmed, the deputy of the faculty of engineering.

A group of the national investment bank visit Benha university buildings in EL-Obour to inspect the faculty of medicine, the faculty of dentistry and the faculty of physiotherapy. The group expresses his happiness of the progress achieved in the buildings. Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president says that there is a Cooperation protocol between Benha University and Egypt Fund in the Geometrical and scientific counseling in addition to scientific research. This contest is held in Aswan on Monday, 30-1-2017 and there are 135 players who participate in the contest around the Egyptian universities. The university council honors the winners of the international programming contest that was held in the capital, Heliniski and lasted for three days in the last November. There were 1000 students from 428 European and American universities who participated in this contest. Benha university team obtained the second place in the contest. The honored students are the following; Bassem Ehab, Muhammad Sakr, Muhammad Abd-el-Nabi, Hesham Osman and Muhammad Ehab from the faculty of engineering/ Shubra in addition to Nourhan Radwan and Mirna Soliman from the faculty of applied arts.

The university president says that the cooperation protocol allows Benha University to get three or five MA and PhD scholarships specialized in remote sensing, IT, students and faculty's members exchange and he stresses that the fields of researches are determined according to what has been agreed upon between both universities and the cooperation protocol is also about enhancing the cooperation between the both universities in engineering, scientific research, scholarships, students training and the other research projects.

Prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president asserts that there is a great development at the faculty of engineering in Benha including the student activities. He says that the faculty will host the qualifying round of the international Robot contest which will be held in Delhi in 16-12-2016. The university president stresses that such event can boost the youth's confidence in addition to his faith in the power of youth whose creativity makes him able to invent a comprehensive Robot system.

Two teams from Faculty of Engineering (at Shoubra) were qualified for participation in the ACM Arab Collegiate Programming Contest in Sharm-ElShiekh on Sunday, 13-11-2016. One of the two teams (out of 111 teams from different Arab universities) is qualified for participation in the 41st ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (and competing with 128 teams from top universities around the world) in May 2017 in «Rapid City», U.S.A.
The ICPC traces its roots to a competition held at Texas A&M University in 1970 hosted by the Alpha Chapter of the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computer Science Honor Society (UPE). This initial programming competition was titled First Annual Texas Collegiate Programming Championship and each University was represented by a team of up to 5 members.

Prof.Dr. Sameh Nada states that the quality management unit organizes a workshop about the suitability of the faculty curriculums to fit the demands of the marketplace.
The faculty dean adds that this workshop was attended by several representatives of the governmental sector and the private sector and experts in different fields that have to do with marketplace.

Engineering Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities has approved to establish three new programs at Faculty of Engineering Shoubra where Prof. Dr. Sayed El Kady, the former dean has been succeeded to establish three new programs as following; Communication & Computers, Electrical Engineering and Control and Management of Engineering Sites. The established programs will serve the community and cope with modern technologies which serve the coming generation. He mentioned also that, these programs will serve our country in its projects which support the national income.

The Faculty of Engineering in Shubra, Benha University announced that the events of the Faculty accreditation will be broadcast across Nile Channel for Higher Education on Thursday, 28/07/2016, 06:05pm and the rebroadcast on Friday, 29/07/2016, 10:05am.

The Board of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education “NAQAAE” has approved to grant the accreditation to the faculty of engineering in Shubra, Benha University in light of the results of the audit visit to the faculty.
