Prof.Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the team from the Faculty of Engineering at Shubra has won first place in the Arab Biotech Innovation Competition 2025. The competition was held as part of the 11th Arab Conference on Biotechnology at the National Research Centre in Egypt and was organized by the Arab Association of Biotechnology, one of the scientific associations emanating from the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils.

Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-kady inaugurates, the university president, on Sunday morning, the scientific excellence day which was organized by the university to honor the top researchers in the field of scientific research, the university awards winners 2017/2018 and the top students of 2015-2016-2017. The quality management unit in the faculty of engineering/Shubra as it has been granted the accreditation. Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president asserts that it has been agreed upon, at the deans' council in the presence of prof.Dr. Hesham Abu EL-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies, to provide all faculties with their needs before the 1st term exams. EL-Kady says that saving 14 million L.E is a great challenge to the university and he also says that some faculties are assigned by the university president, like the faculty of engineering/ shubra and the faculty of applied arts to provide the faculties with the tables and the chairs needed for the exams.

Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed El-Kady, the university president and the head of the deans-selecting committee in the university announces the final list of the nominees for the deanship position in the faculty of engineering/ Shubra and the faculty veterinary medicine. There are 11 candidates in the two faculties and it is important to say that the candidature period is closed on Thursday, 26-1-2017 and the appeal period was opened for just one day on Wednesday, 1-2-2017 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president says that there is a Cooperation protocol between Benha University and Egypt Fund in the Geometrical and scientific counseling in addition to scientific research. The cooperation protocol is signed in the presence of general / Amr Abd El-Moniem, the Qulubia Governor. The university president says that he meets with prof.Dr. Abd EL-Moneim Badawy, the chancellor of the united Arab Bank stressing that signing the protocol comes as a reward for the success and the fruitful participation of the faculty of engineering /Shubra regarding the geometrical supervision on the “Tahia Misr” City to put an end to the squatter areas. This city is one of the big projects that are established under the auspices of the president of Egypt /Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi.

Prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president urges the faculties' dean to increase the products and release them into the market in order to serve the community, decrease the burden on the citizens and face the high raise in the prices. This statement concurs with prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady presidency of the leaders council, which includes the faculties' deans and the university president chancellors, that is held on Tuesday at the faculty of engineering/Shubra. The council approves to decrease the fees of the employees, their sons, the sons of the faculty's members in the open-learning at the amount of 50% after excluding the annual fees imposed by the state.

The university president stresses that the relationship between Egypt and China is a very strong one and the Egyptian people and the Chinese people are closely related to each other. The university council honors the winners of the international programming contest that was held in the capital, Heliniski and lasted for three days in the last November. There were 1000 students from 428 European and American universities who participated in this contest. Benha university team obtained the second place in the contest. The honored students are the following; Bassem Ehab, Muhammad Sakr, Muhammad Abd-el-Nabi, Hesham Osman and Muhammad Ehab from the faculty of engineering/ Shubra in addition to Nourhan Radwan and Mirna Soliman from the faculty of applied arts.

Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady, the university president and the accompanying delegation sign a cooperation protocol with Wuhan University in presence of prof.Dr. Muhammad Abu Salim, the dean of the faculty of veterinary medicine, prof.Dr. Mahmoud Magraby, the dean of the faculty of agriculture, prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, the acting dean of the faculty of applied arts and prof.Dr. Osama Ezat, the former deputy of the faculty of faculty of engineering at Shubra. The university president says that the cooperation protocol allows Benha University to get three or five MA and PhD scholarships specialized in remote sensing, IT, students and faculty's members exchange and he stresses that the fields of researches are determined according to what has been agreed upon between both universities and the cooperation protocol is also about enhancing the cooperation between the both universities in engineering, scientific research, scholarships, students training and the other research projects.

Two teams from Faculty of Engineering (at Shoubra) were qualified for participation in the ACM Arab Collegiate Programming Contest in Sharm-ElShiekh on Sunday, 13-11-2016. One of the two teams (out of 111 teams from different Arab universities) is qualified for participation in the 41st ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (and competing with 128 teams from top universities around the world) in May 2017 in «Rapid City», U.S.A.
The ICPC traces its roots to a competition held at Texas A&M University in 1970 hosted by the Alpha Chapter of the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computer Science Honor Society (UPE). This initial programming competition was titled First Annual Texas Collegiate Programming Championship and each University was represented by a team of up to 5 members.

Prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-kady, the university president inspects the faculty of engineering at Shubra and meets the faculty's students.
