Dr Amr Tallat , minister of Telecommunication and Information technology witnessed activities of the organized workshop by the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) at the smart village. The students of Benha University manage to win three medals in the week of the student's families of the Egyptian universities that is held in the Sue canal university from 6-2-2017 to 10-2-2017. The student/ Ahmed Abd el-Azim from the faculty of applied arts obtains the gold medal in the religious recital contest, the student /Zeniab from the faculty of medicine obtains the silver medal in the Holy Quran contest, the football team obtains the second place by winning the silver medal and the university obtains the fourth place in the information league and the solo singing. Benha University organizes a workshop to discuss the student bylaw and presents its recommendations in the first forum that will be held from 22-2-2017 to 25-2-2017 under the auspices of prof.Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, the minister of higher education and scientific research. The participants discuss the possibility to change a number of provisions of the student bylaw and its impact on the educational process. The workshop is attended by prof.Dr. Ibrahim Ragah, the head of the projects development unit in the university and the deputy of community service and environment development in the faculty of medicine, prof.Dr. Khalid Esawi, the university's president's chancellor of the stduents activities, prof.Dr. Moshbeh El-Kehily, the general manager of the youth care department, the representatives of the student unions in the university's faculties, the members of the youth parliament in Qulubia governorate and number of students from the different faculties in the university.
On Sunday, the activities of the agricultural round no.39 is launched at the faculty of agriculture in Benha University under the auspices of the minister of higher education, the minister of youth and sport ,the Qalubia governor and prof.Dr. EL-Sayed El-Kady, the university president. Prof.Dr. Mahmoud Eraqi, the dean of the faculty of agriculture in Moshtohor says that the agricultural round starts from 5-2-2017 to 8-2-2017 and there are 750 students who participate in the event. The students represent 14 agricultural faculties and institutes around the Egyptian universities.
The university leaders' council, headed by Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady, the university president, approves on the bulletin of the faculty of science's council to choose the members of the dean-electing Committee. Prof.Dr. Abd-EL-Azim Mehna, the acting dean of the faculty of science announces the recommendations of the faculty's council which results in choosing prof.Dr. Nabil El-Nagar, prof.Dr. Muhammad Mousa as primary members with the number of 21 votes for each one of them in addition to choosing prof.Dr. Sabry El-Serafy as a reserve member in the committee. It is important to say that three members have filled the position of the deanship before. The university leaders' council decides to refer to prof.Dr. Ashraf EL-Shihy, the minister of the higher education and scientific research to take the final decision regarding the final formation of the committee to begin the process of electing the new dean of the faculty and opens the door for nomination for the deanship position. Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady, the university president receives the ministerial decree that was issued by prof.Dr. Ashraf EL-Shihy, the minister of the higher education and scientific research to form the new dean-electing committee in the faculty of engineering and the faculty of veterinary medicine.

Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady, the university president announces, at the talk week, that the supreme council of universities will held its February session in Benha University from 25-1-2017 to 28-1-2017. This statement concurs with the presidency of Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady of the university council and he discusses the activities of the week in which the ideas of higher education development and scientific research enhancement of students, teaching assistants, assistant lecturers, professors and the civil society organizations will be revealed. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by prof.Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, the minister of higher education.
Prof. Dr. el-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president delivers a message to the youth and the university students in which he says: "we work for all of you and you have to work hard to be do good to your country". This statement was uttered in university council headed by the university president. The meeting was held in the presence of prof. Dr. Adel Adawy, the former minister of healthcare, prof. These projects will be followed by small businesses which are related to these big projects. This statement was uttered in the university's deans meeting to discuss the pillars of the forum on Tuesday, 11-10-2016. This forum was held in the presence of prof.Dr. Hesham Abu EL-Enin, the vice president of post –graduate studies and research, prof.Dr. Gamal Ismail, the vice president of community services and the environment development and the secretary of the university. Prof.Dr. Wageh Ewis, the Jordanian Minister of higher education the education fair of the higher education in the Middle-East and north Africa which was held in king Hussein city in the presence of Prof.Dr. Sultan Abu-Oraby, the head of the Arab universities union. It is important to say that benha university took part in this event with a delegation headed by Prof.Dr. Mahmoud Eraqi, the dean of the faculty of agriculture prof. Dr. Hesham El-batsh, the deputy of the faculty of engineering in benha for post-graduate students and research and prof. Dr. Muhammad Basiony, the deputy of the faculty of commerce for education and students affairs.
Prof. Dr. El Sayed Yusuf El Kady, the President of Benha University received Prof. Dr. Ashraf Al-Shehhi - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research who visited Benha University in 2692016 to launch "We Love Egypt Initiative" from faculty of Arts then, they held open meeting with students to discuss several topics with them, in addition to visiting faculty of Nursing and Education to inspect the educational process.
