The veterinary convoy, which was organized by the faculty of veterinary medicine, has finished its activities in the village of Biltan. Benha university hospitals receive 4500 patients during El-Adha Feast as there are 2449 patients in the emergency department and there are 299 patients who stay in the department of emergency in addition to conducting 63 surgeries. Benha University's council discusses, in its meeting yesterday, the report of prof.Dr. Yosry El-Saied, university hospitals in which he indicates that there are 45,836 patients who went to the hospital and there are 47,589 patients who went to the clinics of the hospital. Prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-kady, the university president thanks the hospital and the faculty of medicine, stresses that the citizens should enjoy a quality healthcare and asserts that the negligent shouldn't be forgiven to keep up boosting the citizen's trust.
Benha University leader's council discusses, in its weekly meeting which is held under the supervision of prof.Dr. EL-Sayed El-kady, the university president, the vision of how to develop the higher education and the scientific research. Prof.Dr. Eman El-Bitar, the head of hygiene department in the faculty of medicine and the member of the assigned team to present such a vision. This team includes 54 lecturers, assistant lecturers and professors in the university and the tem is headed by prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Slim, the dean of veterinary medicine and prof. Dr. Ezat el-khiat, the head of the faculties' members club in the university.
Prof.Dr. Hesham Abu EL-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and researches states that prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president, approves on a two-week extension period for funding the research projects starting from Sunday, 19-2-2017. Such decision is taken upon a meeting with the young researchers during a workshop in the faculty of veterinary medicine. Prof.Dr. Maher Hasb El-Naby, the university president chancellor of scientific research says that there are 45 researchers, from nine faculties in the university, who apply for such event. He also adds that this two-week extension period aims at letting the researchers being funded. It is important to say that the fund is about 200,000 L.E. for the single research project and there should be no less than 10 competitively-chosen research projects that have to be funded.
Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady, the university president heaps praise on the enormous development of the periscopes' surgery and stresses that a great achievement has been done by conducting more than 20 operations by using the periscopes. This statement concurs with the inauguration of the activities of the round no.40 for the periscopes' surgery that is organized by the periscopes' unit and the surgery department in the Benha University's hospitals. Benha University organizes a workshop to discuss the student bylaw and presents its recommendations in the first forum that will be held from 22-2-2017 to 25-2-2017 under the auspices of prof.Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, the minister of higher education and scientific research. The participants discuss the possibility to change a number of provisions of the student bylaw and its impact on the educational process. The department of Gastroenterology holds, in cooperation with the Egyptian assembly of the Gastroenterology, the second conference next Thursday for two days.
