Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, honored Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, during the awards ceremony for Egyptian universities listed in the QS Ranking for 2025. The event was attended by Prof. Ashwin Fernandez, the regional director for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia in the QS Ranking, along with several presidents of public, private, and technological universities, as well as representatives from foreign university branches and ministry leaders.
Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced the results of the QS World University Rankings for 2026, revealing that the university ranked +1401 among 8,467 universities from 106 countries evaluated, sharing the 8th category with other universities, among 20 listed Egyptian public and private universities.

Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that the university has advanced 23 international positions, according to the US News ranking for 2025-2026. He pointed out that Benha University is now ranked 550th globally, maintaining its presence among the top 1,000 universities worldwide. Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, The acting President of Benha University has announced for a new achievement in the world universities ranking indicating the University has occupied the rank 401 – 600 among more than 1115 universities in the world and 31 universities in Egypt at 3rd group in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021.
Benha University has realized a new achievement and distinction for the first time according to Web metrics ranking where it ranked in the category 1515 among 31,000 University globally. Benha University has ranked 24 among 1216 University in the Arab World. In Africa, Benha University has ranked 26 from 1907 University and it has ranked 8 among Egypt's public and private universities that have been ranked in this edition.

Few hours ago, the result of the Webometrics international ranking is revealed showing that Benha university portal is among the best five Egyptian universities. The British Company “Quacquarelli Symonds” (QS) has announced its ranking of 2016 on Tuesday, 14/06/2016 and even though the strong competition this year between more than 300Arab Universities (public and private), Benha University has kept its rank between top 100 of the best Arab Universities according to QS ranking for the Arab region 2016.
