The Minister enjoyed a detailed presentation on the design of the new University hospital, which is being built next to the current University hospital, on an area of 9042 square meters, and consists of two basements and 7 repeated floors. The hospital is scheduled to include an emergency department, a clinics department, which includes 30 diverse clinics in various specialties, and a laboratory department.
In the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, signed the protocol for establishing the Greater Cairo Region Universities Alliance, which includes Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Helwan University, Benha University, Al-Azhar University, and a number of private and civil universities. The President of Benha University said that the alliance aims to achieve actual integration between the elements of the higher education system and industrial institutions and to bridge the gap between academic programs and the actual needs of each region, in addition to contributing to advancing development rates in the Greater Cairo region through cooperation between the universities of the alliance and presenting creative ideas and solutions that serve the issues of national industry and allocating a number of scientific researches to support and develop industries, which achieves the optimal investment of sustainable centers in universities.
